Certified final product in a single pass

Cotswold Recycling have established their business as contract crushers in Bristol, relying on RUBBLE MASTER Compact Recycler technology. By means of their expertise they have become strategic partners to the RUBBLE MASTER developers in Linz / Austria. From time to time Richard Cooper and Paul Finch also run demonstrations for RUBBLE MASTER UK Ltd. – and they are just the guys for the HILLHEAD demo shows.

Just recently their RM70 was used for a crushing contract in Stroud, Gloucestershire to demonstrate its high level of flexibility, throughput and quality of the end product. Valley Trading wanted to evaluate for themselves the production of high-value final grain from various feeding material with the RUBBLE MASTER Compact Recycler. Waste concrete, reinforced concrete, bricks, blocks, granite posts and asphalt were to be processed by the smart but powerful impact crusher. The settings were optimized for a “type one” final grain: thus specific ceramic hammers were used 2 x 2, the crushing gap was set to 45 mm.

RM70 OS80In order to achieve the desired graded material in a single pass, the crusher was equipped with the mobile RUBBLE MASTER oversize grain separator OS80 with refeeding belt. The OS80 is easily attached to the main discharge belt of the crusher with quick-release levers. Its three comb cascades – fingers set to 40 mm – ensure strict separation eg. into 0/32 mm quality. The advantage is that the crusher can be operated with maximum throughput, minimum wear and full mobility on site.

Constantly fed by an excavator with a 4 ft bucket, the RM70 steadily processed the different kinds of feeding material. The estimated production of a full labour day (over a measured 8 hour period) was about 1000 tons of end product. The final product produced was an excellent type one material which was certified and sold to end users at a high rate. The customer (Valley Trading) was delighted with the results.

Newcomer to recycling scored big points at the “Eden Project”

Les Allen has been running Waste Disposal Services, a relatively small company in Penzance, Cornwall for several years now. When he decided to branch out more into recycling than general contracting, he approached RUBBLE MASTER UK Ltd. for a crusher in March this year. Soon he decided in favour of an RM60, the most compact of the RUBBLE MASTER crusher range.

Eden

The RM60 was just recently delivered to a high profile job at the "Eden Project" in St Austell, Cornwall. In this massive construction of Biomes built in an abandoned open cast clay mine, where different plants from around the world are grown, everything on site has to be recycled as a principle. So when it came to ripping up an asphalt car park and crushing it for relaying around the site, the obvious choice was a really compact but effective crusher, able to produce high-value final grain that could be reused on site. This was when Waste Disposal Services came in with their RM60.

RM60The semi-mobile crusher was hauled on a hook-lift lorry. The start-up of the machine is fast and easy, so that the crusher is ready for work in about 10 minutes. The RM60 processes a great range of material – from bricks to general left over building material, asphalt and concrete – at a feeding size of up to 500 mm. At the “Eden Project” around 600 tons of asphalt were crushed by the RM60 over a two day period and the results were perfect. This opened up a regular contract at this special site for Les Allen.
